Roxi
Green
Roxi began dancing at age 3 and her unbridled passion for dance has only grown
since then. She attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska
Omaha where she majored in broadcasting and minored in dance. She also coached
UNO’s dance team for 2 years. She has been a dance instructor and choreographer
for over 16 years in addition to modeling, acting, raising two children and owning
a successful retail business. Roxi has choreographed many fashion shows as well
as annual recitals at the Pikes Peak Center for Barb Ellis and annual recitals
for the Sundance Studio. Roxi started teaching at the Sundance Studio in 1997
while simultaneously teaching for Barb Ellis, where she had been an instructor
since 1991. In 2001, she decided to devote all her energies to the Sundance Studio.
Roxi is a strong believer in staying on the leading edge of the latest dance
trends, and she continuously attends classes, workshops, seminars and competitions
to enhance her knowledge and experience, so that she can instruct her students
in state of the art techniques. Roxi’s teaching philosophy is one of actively
participating in dance alongside her students and of giving each student a caring
and attentive learning environment. Roxi has worked with many of the country’s
top choreographers, including Damon Keller (Urban Jamm), Darren Hanson (choreographer
for NSync, Britney Spears, J-Lo and others) and Chonique Sneed (choreographer
for Missy Elliott, Pink and others). She has also taken numerous classes from
top instructors including Ben Vereen and Scott Benson (American Dance Projekt).
